Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ParkCharter.

What is ParkCharter?

ParkCharter is an AI-powered trip planner for Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort (including Epic Universe). It creates personalized, minute-by-minute itineraries based on your group's preferences, real-time wait times, park hours, weather, and special events.

Is there an AI that plans Disney World trips?

Yes — ParkCharter uses AI to generate full day-by-day Disney World itineraries personalized to your family. Unlike ChatGPT or Claude, ParkCharter's AI assistant Arrow has access to real-time wait times, current ride closures, and today's park hours.

What is the best Disney World planning app?

ParkCharter is designed to be the most comprehensive AI Disney World planning tool available. It covers all four Walt Disney World parks plus all Universal Orlando parks, with real-time data, Lightning Lane optimization, dining recommendations, and family-specific features like Kid Charter alternatives for height-gated rides.

Does ParkCharter work for Universal Orlando?

Yes. ParkCharter covers Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, and Epic Universe. It includes Universal Express Pass strategy, Halloween Horror Nights scheduling, Mardi Gras food booth recommendations, and Butterbeer Season activities.

What parks does ParkCharter cover?

All 8 major Orlando theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, and Epic Universe.

How much does ParkCharter cost?

Free tier: 1 day, 1 park, 5 AI messages. Per Trip: $14.99 one-time for up to 10 days. Planner Pass: $9.99/month billed annually ($119.88/year) for unlimited trips and premium features.

Does ParkCharter use real-time wait times?

Yes. Wait times are refreshed every 10 minutes from live park data. Arrow (our AI assistant) uses current wait times, ride statuses, and park schedules when building or adjusting your itinerary.

Can ParkCharter help with Lightning Lane and Express Pass?

Yes. ParkCharter's AI analyzes which rides benefit most from Lightning Lane (Disney) or Express Pass (Universal) based on current wait times and your itinerary. It tells you which rides to use your pass on and which to standby, with ROI calculations.

Does ParkCharter know about festivals and special events?

Yes. ParkCharter tracks EPCOT festivals (Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, Festival of the Arts, Festival of the Holidays), Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Mardi Gras, and more. When your trip dates overlap with an event, it's automatically woven into your itinerary.

Is ParkCharter good for families with young kids?

Absolutely. ParkCharter factors in your children's ages and heights to recommend age-appropriate rides, suggests a Kid Charter alternative when one child is too short for an attraction (we route the other parent + short kid to a nearby ride or show while the rest ride), schedules rest breaks, and picks kid-friendly dining. It won't recommend a ride your child can't ride.

Can I share my ParkCharter itinerary?

Yes. Every trip has a shareable link you can send to your travel group. They can view the full itinerary without creating an account.

How is ParkCharter different from ChatGPT for Disney planning?

ChatGPT and other general AI tools don't have access to real-time park data. They can't tell you today's wait times, which rides are closed for refurbishment right now, or what festival is currently running. ParkCharter's Arrow AI has all of this context, updated throughout the day.

Is ParkCharter affiliated with Disney or Universal?

No. ParkCharter is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, or NBCUniversal.

Can ParkCharter book dining reservations for me?

ParkCharter recommends restaurants based on your trip and preferences, but it cannot make reservations on your behalf. It provides deep links to the official booking platforms (60 days out for Disney, 30-60 days for Universal).
