How does this tool pick the best park for each day?
For every day of the week we average the posted wait times recorded across each park over the last 28 days, then compare each day against that park’s own typical level. The recommended park for your date is the one having its relatively lightest day, with official park hours as the tiebreaker. It is arithmetic over real readings, not a prediction model.
Where does the data come from?
Wait times are collected from publicly posted queue times throughout each operating day, all in Eastern Time. Park hours come from the official posted schedules, which typically extend a few months ahead. Days beyond the posted schedule fall back to that park’s typical hours for the same day of week and are labeled as such.
Does it account for holidays and special events?
Partly. The crowd level reflects the last 28 days of real waits by day of week, so seasonal shifts show up as they happen, but a specific holiday date can be busier than a typical day of the same weekday. Treat the answer as a planning guide, not a guarantee.
What are the lowest-wait time windows?
For each park day we look at the same 28 days of readings hour by hour and surface the operating hours that averaged the shortest lines, usually right at opening and in the last hours before close.
